Following the previous post on product development for the block spindle toys. The decision to temporarily halt the production until June 2019 these items has been made.
The work involved in the children's sessions and exhibition preparation has been very time consuming and has not left much time to create own work. It was also felt to include personal work within the children's artwork would create mixed messages and detract the attention away from the children's creations. Therefore the proposed nesting dolls, stacking blocks and peg dolls will be delayed production until after the exhibition when time constraints are not so tight and there is more opportunity for future development.
It is felt that the children's art is the most important aspect of this project, therefore devoting all the time, funds and resources into displaying this work in the most effective manner will make the project more rounded.
Initial plans to use the job role characters designed earlier on in the project for a potential book, were stopped. These images were not wasted however these were used as colouring sheets during the sessions, these will also form part of the large interactive artwork proposed for Saturday 4th May 2019.
However, due to the commercial drive behind project, instead of producing artwork to be sold, there will be a series of promotional items available to purchase containing the 'Be Anything Do Anything' logo the proposed items will include;
Pencil Case
Canvas Bag
Sketch Books in 2 sizes (A5 & A4)
Book Marks
Badges
Home art activity packs of works produced for exhibition
Potential exhibition brochure detailing all the children's works
These products will be created personally utilising a number of printing techniques, including screen, stamps and digital printing.
There will be small goody bags given away to the first 100 people visiting on the 4th May, which will contain a printed pencil detailing the exhibition dates, badge, flyer and business card for Mrs Panda Makes which will help with brand promotion.
