Exploring negative recollections from childhood, employment and early parenthood, centred around issues with gender inequality and judgements.

 

These applique works have been created using both machine and hand stitching whilst incorporating printing technique and are produced entirely from pre-loved outgrown children's clothing. Utilising what would generically be seen as delicate feminine colours and patterns to tackle feminist issues experienced throughout my life. 

 

Creating the works have provided emotional healing to encourage positive thinking.
