Stitched Sketches
Memory can sometimes be sketchy, these Stitched Sketches aim to provide a snapshot of a distant childhood memory. The sketches are deliberately left faceless and simple to signify the fading of memories over time.
The calming act of hand stitching enabled reflection and extended personal connection with each piece during their creation, they make use of re-purposed fabrics taken from babies sleepsuits with single continuous line stitching. Utilising a limited colour pallet of black and grey the images produced form a graphic and almost pen like appearance.
